Apple Updates Retina MacBook Pro Line With Speedier Chips, More Memory

Apple has quietly updated its entire Retina MacBook Pro line of laptops with faster processors and more memory, while leaving the prices mostly the same as before.
The most powerful 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display costs $1,799 and offers a 2.8GHz, dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory and 512GB of storage.

Tech giant Apple today reduced the price of its 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro by Rs 11,000 to Rs 78,900.


The California-headquartered firm also updated MacBook Pro with Retina display with faster processors, doubled the memory in both its entry-level configurations.

MacBook Pro with Retina display features a stunning high-resolution display, an amazing design just 0.71-inches thin, the latest processors and powerful graphics and up to nine hours of battery life, Apple said in a statement.

"Apple today also lowered the starting price of the non-Retina 13-inch MacBook Pro, a very popular system with Windows switchers, by Rs 11,000 to Rs 78,900," it added.

The 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro is available with a 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, 4 GB of memory, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and a 500 GB hard drive starting at Rs 78,900 inclusive of VAT (Rs 75,000 excluding VAT).

Various models of the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display are available in the price range of Rs 94,900-1,29,900 inclusive of VAT.

Similarly, the models of 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display are available in the range of Rs 1,44,900-1,79,900 inclusive of VAT charges.
