Recently it has been revealed by Microsoft that the OS
Windows 10 would be available in 7 different versions from now. It has been
designed for working not only on PCs but also on smartphones, Xbox One Console
by Microsoft and tablets. However, this doesn’t mean that ‘One’ version would
support all. There are 7 different versions that would support different
devices.
Tony Prophet, who is Corporate Vice President of Windows and
Search Marketing, in a blog post stated that every version would support the
different needs of the users and different devices. Specific needs of different
clients would be addressed from consumers, small enterprises and large ones.
Following are the Windows 10 versions:
Windows 10 Home is mainly aimed at laptop hybrid devices,
tablets, and home users on PCs. This would include Continuum tablet mode,
biometric security features of Windows Hello, Cortana and Microsoft Edge
browser. Video, music, calendar, mail, maps and photos come pre-installed.
Windows 10 Mobile is mainly a version for small tablets and
smartphones. It has Office’s new version, Continuum for phones as well as
Universal Apps that are found in Windows 10 Home.
Windows 10 Pro has features similar to that of Windows 10
Home. However, extra features are available for small business. This includes
Windows Update for Business through which businesses can determine which and
when software updates are applicable. Mainly designed for tablets, PCs as well
as 2-in-1s.
Windows 10 Enterprise is mainly for large size and medium
size businesses. Windows 10 Education is mainly for students, teachers,
administrators and school staff. Windows 10 IoT Core is mainly for devices that
have footprints such as gateways. Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise is mainly for
