Even as speculations about the release date of Moto X 2015
intensify, users of the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E are anticipating the latest
Android update to become available very soon.
Reports from multiple sources claim that the most recent
Android 5.1.1 version will become available for the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E
in the coming weeks. With older versions of the handsets already receiving the
5.1 update, reports claim that the Android 5.1.1 update is in the works and
will be ready by as early as June end.
There have been reports of 2014 Moto devices in selected
areas already receiving the Android 5.1.1 update, with the Latino Post recently
reporting that the latest version was made available in Brazil.
However, speculations surrounding the 2015 Moto X appear
more believable and may shed more light on Motorola's Android 5.1.1 update. An
article by Yibada.com claims that Motorola will release its 2015 flagship phone
in August in order to stay ahead of Apple and Samsung who will be launching
their devices in September.
The 2015 Moto X is expected to run on the upcoming Android
M. With the new handset to be released in a little less than three months,
users have already assumed that the Android 5.1.1 version will be ready for
download across all Motorola platforms before the 2015 Moto X is released.
The 2015 Moto X reportedly features a 5.2 inch display, 16
MP main camera and 5 MP front camera, 4 GB Ram and up to 64 GB of internal
storage.
Motorola has neither confirmed nor denied speculations about
the upcoming release. However, if Android 5.1.1 has really been made available
in Brazil and the 2015 Moto X is released in August, then it is possible that
the 5.1.1 version could be rolled out very soon, as Motorola is known to be
quick to adopt Android OS updates.
